Description of this accommodation
The historic watermill from the 18th-century is about 10 minutes far from the city centre Santa Cruz de La Palma. The complex was extensively restored from a ruinous state in 1999 and consists of the mill tower and two apartments. The apartment “Wassermühle” has approximately 45 sqm of living space and is located in the main house of the watermill. It consists of a living-sleeping area, a kitchen, a bathroom and a furnished terrace with panoramic view at the Atlantic Ocean. Availability upon request.
Location
After a short, steep ascent (100 m) over a cobbled footpath, where the canyon El Rio opens, is this historic watermill. The island sanctuary Las Nieves is about 5 minutes away. The complex is located on a rocky outcrop with amazing view at the underlying canyon and the Atlantic Ocean. In the surrounding environment farmers plant fruits and vegetables and keep goats and small domestic animals. Two restaurants are within a few minutes by walk. The nearest supermarket is reachable in about 5 minutes by car. The capital of Santa Cruz de La Palma can be reached in 10 minutes by car, it is the cultural and commercial center of the "Isla Bonita" and is due its subtropical climate all year-round ideal for rest. The beach of Santa Cruz is within 10 minutes by car.
