La Palma: Adventure Climbing Park

Fun for the whole family and sport fans offers the Acropark Canarias. The municipality of Breña Baja has opened the adventure climbing park (Acropark Canarias) on the Island of La Palma in 2011, which is situated behind the Refugio El Pilar. The climbing park offers different levels of difficulty.

The terrain has over 12.000 sqm, 8.000 sqm of it is for the activities of the adventure park. On each tree is a wooden platform with different heights, they are connected to each other in different ways: steel ropes, zip lines, suspension bridges, tibetan bridges, ladders, rope-lianas and nets.

The staff of the Acropark distributes the necessary safety and protective equipment at the reception. Trained staff will help visitors to put on the equipment and explain the basic rules for a proper use of the safety equipment.

The following courses are available:

Children course:

Body size max. 80 cm
Duration appx. 40 to 60 minutes
Height max. 1 meter

This course has the same security conditions like the other courses, using of the security cable and the climbing equipment is obligatory. The course is perfect for children to get confidence with the karabiner.

Junior course:

Body size min. 120 cm
Duration appx. 45 to 60 minutes
Height from 1,80 to 4,0 meters

This course with medium difficulty leads through an area with good access and visibility for the accompanying persons.

Senior course:

Body size min. 140 cm
Duration appx. 50 to 85 minutes
Height from 2,50 to 7,0 meters

This course hast the highest level of difficulty and is only for those who have no fear of heights. Thrill and adrenaline kicks are guaranteed!
