Diving on La Palma
Well - the Atlantic Ocean in front of La Palma is not as colourful as the Red Sea. But the caves, the underwater archways and lava formations of the volcanic island promises a special diving experience.
In this bizarre world of rocks a lot of underwater creatures feel more than comfortable: Colourful neon fishes, the whole family of groupers, barracudas, puffer fishes, moray eels, rays, and a lot more species ... In the depth of the crevices live spider crabs and cleaner shrimps.
The biggest advantage of La Palma
Here is no diving tourism. That means there are already untouched places in shallow water. So even beginners will get their money's worth - training courses can be found in the diving schools program. Advanced Divers discover- preferably under supervision of professional dive guides - from 30 meters depth on the famous black corals and can enjoy a great visibility up to 50 meters. The clean water is not just "transparent". It also offers an intact habitat for different types of corals, feather stars, yellow sponges and anemones.
Diving fun on La Palma is possible throughout the year. The water temperature is always between 18 and 25 degrees.
